Recently, zMaticoo announced that it has officially passed the certification of the Open Measurement SDK (OM SDK) Compliance Program by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Tech Lab. This not only marks that zMaticoo’s ad measurement system has fully aligned with international industry standards, but also means that zMaticoo’s partners can achieve more transparent ad viewability measurement as a result.
As a global non-profit independent R&D organization, IAB Tech Lab has long been committed to developing foundational technologies and industry standards together with its global members to promote the sustainable development of the global digital media ecosystem. eclicktech joined IAB Tech Lab as early as 2018, and has been upgrading its technical products in sync with industry standards, enabling advertisers and developers on its platform to seamlessly connect with international digital advertising industry norms.
As is widely known in the mobile advertising ecosystem, ad viewability is a critical monitoring metric for advertisers to determine whether their advertising campaigns can achieve expected goals. However, under the traditional model, ad viewability measurement relies on developers’ ability to integrate independent SDKs from multiple verification service providers. For developers, this not only raises the development threshold, but also leads to application performance loss and degraded user experience. Therefore, despite continuous industry efforts, viewability measurement for in-app advertising has long been a major industry challenge—a deadlock that was not broken until the launch of OM SDK.
As a unified industry standard launched by IAB Tech Lab in 2018, OM SDK aims to restructure the mobile advertising verification chain through "standardized technical protocols". The industry only needs one shared SDK to implement all advertisers’ verification and viewability monitoring for in-app advertising. For developers, those supporting OM SDK will be more favored by advertisers due to measurable ad viewability, thereby securing more advertising budgets.
For advertisers, OM SDK helps them accurately identify high-value traffic through a unified and more standardized measurement method. Advertisers will also receive a complete ad viewability report based on uniform standards, which not only eliminates cost accounting discrepancies caused by different statistical calibers of third-party SDKs, but more importantly, by integrating multi-dimensional data such as impressions, clicks and interactions, advertisers can systematically track ad reach paths and user interaction patterns with ad creatives, providing decision-making basis for subsequent campaign optimization.

Currently, zMaticoo’s Android MAL_1.8.5 version and all subsequent new versions have obtained OM SDK certification. They support viewability measurement for mainstream ad formats including banner ads, native ads and video ads, helping advertisers accurately identify valid impressions, reduce budget waste, and improve campaign transparency and cross-platform performance evaluation efficiency.
